Machine Shop
Our strong machining & machine repair capabilities include new part fabrication and repair/build of current and obsolete equipment. Our skilled machinists have an average of 25 years experience. Our machine repairmen have an average of 25-35 years experience with all types of metal forming and manufacturing equipment.
The Boring Mill Department can machine up to 24 feet horizontally and 10 feet vertically with 50 inches spindle travel.
We're also equipped with:
Saws, Radial Arm Drill, Shaper-Planer and Welding and Brazing Equipment.
We stock an Extensive Parts and Steel Inventory to enable quick turn-around on services.
Our overhead cranes, with capabilities to 25 tons, give us the ability to service your large and heavy equipment.
Lathe Department
In 1996, Grand Rapids Machine Repair more than doubled in size by adding a new plant solely devoted to housing the lathe department. Originally part of the Machine Shop, out Late Department's new location at 3710 Linden allows us to expand and improve our services in both realms, with quality workmanship being our ultimate goal.
Our Lathes swing up to 60 inches with 20 feet between center. Surface Grinders and Keyseaters up to 4", enable our machinists to perform the highest quality workmanship.
Rigging & Moving Field Installation
Our Tractor/Trailers and portable equipment can tear down, move and reassemble entire plants. Heavy moving is one of our specialties.
On-Site Services
When your machine can't come to us, our fully equipped rigging/tool vans and servicemen come to you. We also have advanced portable capabilities for your on-site machining needs.
